The disruption to the electronic gaming machines and electronic table games in the properties run by The Star, as reported on Monday, has now been rectified.

The decision to shut down EGMs and ETGs at Treasury Brisbane, The Star Gold Coast and The Star Sydney can when post-upgrade testing revealed certain systems would be disrupted by a series of planned upgrades in conjunction with introducing cashless gaming.

The Star announced that it would therefore be suspending electronic gaming at these properties “to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and to maintain the company’s commitment to safer gambling procedures.”

All EGMs and ETGs have now been reactivated and are fully operational.
