Having started on the AU$3bn (€1.94bn) casino resort at Queen’s Wharf in Brisbane, Australia’s Star Entertainment is also planning to further extend its Jupiters Gold Coast resort.

The company has announced plans for an AU$850m development on the existing Jupiters site with two towers, which will include a four-star hotel in the first stage.
There is room on the same development for another two towers and a possible pedestrian bridge to the new Pacific Fair shopping centre.
Star has already spent AU$345m on the existing Jupiters property, observers concluding that the company is preparing for the competition from a second Gold Coast casino after the ASF Consortium won a bid to build an integrated casino development, which is expected to be built on a site adjacent to the SeaWorld resort.
