Swedish construction group Skanska has been contracted to build a casino in Snoqualmie, Washington, for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe. The contract amount is US$120m, which is included in the order bookings for the first quarter.
The project involves a new casino, a 1,000-seat event centre and five restaurants. Casino Snoqualmie will cover about 17,200sq.m, and is being built in a mountain-lodge style. The project also includes a parking facility.
Work has begun and is scheduled to be completed in November 2008.
