Belgium's Seeben is in negotiation to supply video lottery terminals to major operators in Mexico.
The company revealed this week that it is already supplying second hand slot machines, converted to fit the Mexican VLT market and extensively refurbished, but wants to expand this business.
In an interview with InterGaming, general manager Urbain Thewissen said that Mexico represented one of the few expanding gambling markets and while he understood that many of the industry’s major multi-nationals were competing for business in the Mexican bingo clubs, VLTs, and Category II markets, “there is plenty of room for all.”
He said that the company’s presence in all sectors of the market, AWP and slots manufacturing and distribution, bingo machine production and distribution, and operations in both the street market and in casinos, gave it a broad experience which would help Seeben establish itself in Mexico.
A full version of the interview will appear in our July issue.
