The main topic of conversation in the aisles of this week’s G2E Asia show in Macau was the advent of a second exhibition in the enclave, to be launched in November.

The new event will take place in the same venue as G2E Asia, the Venetian. Behind it is a newly-formed association of locally based gaming manufacturers, led by LT Games.
This was the company that was involved in a huge legal spat with SHFL entertainment at the 2012 G2E Asia which led to the covering up of some of the games on LT’s booth. As the legal machinations continued, the games were uncovered and then later covered up again.
The news was met with some disdain by many exhibitors who believe that one show is enough. “The last thing we want is to have to come back here again later in the year,” said one. “It just makes no sense at all.”
