Las Vegas Sands wants to plan the “world’s greatest casino resort” in Osaka, Japan.
The resort would require a significant investment, but LVS is willing to do what is necessary to win the licence, COO Rob Goldstein said.
Osaka intends to shortlist candidates early next year. Wynn, Melco, MGM, Hard Rock International and Caesars have also shown interest in the city. Osaka Governor Ichiro Matsui has said he wants a casino open in 2024, before the start of the 2025 World Expo.
