International gambling and entertainment exhibition Russian Gaming Week is going to Sochi.
Smile Expo, RGW’s organiser, announced that on November 5-6 Sochi, which was recently the venue for the Winter Olympics, will host the expo.
“It’s quite obvious that gambling in Russia has entered a new phase,” said a Smile spokesperson. “Recently, in the second and third final readings, the Russian government has surprisingly accepted amendments to the gambling regulation law.
“From now on, it’s allowed to open gambling venues not only in Crimea, but also in Sochi. That’s why this resort town will soon include an elite gambling cluster, apart from being a centre for international scale sports events.
“The RGW in Sochi is going to help the city become a new gambling capital. All major gambling business segments will be presented at the show, including casino, bookmakers, social gambling and mobile and online gambling.
“It will gather major players from the global gambling market. Speakers at the two-day conference will include international experts, law makers, and business owners who will discuss pressing topics concerning creating a gaming zone in Sochi, possibilities for investment in the new venue, legislative issues and latest industry trends.”
