There has been renewed interest in building a state-owned casino in Summer County, Kansas, US.
Equity Ventures of Topeka will submit two applications for a resort casino near Mulvane.
The proposal will involve the same group of Topeka investors associated with the Harrah’s application, before it withdrew in November last year.
Commenting on the application a company spokesperson said: “This partner has extensive gaming experience and is well capitalised. The all-cash development will also overcome the problems that caused the previous applicants to withdraw.”
There has been a deadline of April 1, set by Kansas Lottery, for application submissions.
