A Chinese businessman is proposing to build a AUS$4.2bn ($3.7bn) casino and resort in the city of Cairns in Queensland, Australia.

Tony Fung is planning to develop a resort that features an “international class” casino and a host of other facilities, Reuters reports.
The Queensland government has declared it a “coordinated project,” the initial stage of its comprehensive assessment of its approval process.
It has been suggested that the casino resort will target the lucrative Chinese tourist market.
