A gaming group in the US state of Nebraska is pushing for Las Vegas-style casinos to be brought to the state.

Nebraska’s constitution bans most games of chance, so there would need to be a constitutional amendment for casino gambling.

Voters rejected casinos in 2006 but the group, named Keep the Money in Nebraska, is seeking approximately 80,000 signatures in order to put the law change back on the ballot.

The group is proposing a tax rate of 20 per cent on gaming revenue.
