Genting Berhad saw net profit in the third quarter rise 59.9 per cent year-on-year to MYR577.21m (US$129.7m).

Revenue for the Malaysia-based operator grew by 0.8 per cent to MYR4.7bn ($1.06bn), compared to MYR4.6bn ($1.03bn) in Q3 2015.
For the nine-month period to September 30, Genting said net profit was down 4.5 per cent to MYR1bn, while revenue increased 3.3 per cent year on year to MYR13.6bn ($3.06bn).
Genting said it saw a two per cent increase in revenue from its leisure and hospitality businesses across all countries in which it operates in Q3 except Singapore, which saw a 8.6 per cent drop in revenue in the period.
