Penn National has dropped its suit over Pennsylvania allowing 10 satellite casinos.

Penn, which won two of the satellite licences for what it said was to protect its interests at Hollywood Casino near Harrisburg, said it still believes in the merits of its case, but is choosing to focus on the development of those two casinos instead of a lengthy and costly legal battle.

Penn had said the 25-mile zones around existing casinos that protected them from satellite casinos unfairly favoured some casinos.
