The Novomatic Group of Companies made a major statement in ExCeL London, the new home of ICE Totally Gaming.
Its stand covered no less than 4,400sq.m – in other words about the same size as one of the halls at the exhibition venue. “We have all our companies here,” said Jens Halle, managing director of the group’s manufacturing arm, Austrian Gaming Industries.
Director of communications David Orrick told the first-morning press conference: “This is the largest single booth ever taken at a gaming show. It reflects the fact that the group now employs over 22,000 people and last year achieved turnover of €3.2bn.
“We now export 98 per cent of our products and our operating division has more than 215,000 machines on site. We export to 80 countries and have subsidiaries in 43 nations. ICE is our most important event in the trade show calendar. It is here that we introduce our major product innovations and this year again we have a raft of important new products.”
“We are presenting the world of gaming,” said marketing chief Max Lindenberg. “We are bringing all our subsidiaries together in one spot and presenting products for all market sectors from land-based to server-based gaming, online and mobile. We have products for the Spanish AWP market and the products of Admiral Sports Betting.”
Taking centre stage was the company’s new cabinet, the Dominator. This has a total of five screens including one in the topper for marketing and another that acts as a touchbet panel. It operates on the Novoline platform, for which the company introduced 15 new SBG games at the show.
Also featured strongly on the huge stand were the group’s German connection, Lowen, the online arm Greentube and the Astra Gaming Group, which this year gained extra traction in the UK market with the acquisition of the Danoptra companies, Bell Fruit Games, RLMA Sales, Mazooma and Gamestec.
