The Norwegian government is looking to increase the turnover limit for larger lotteries supported by voluntary organisations.

The Ministry of Culture and Equality wants the current turnover limit of NOK360m (£25.8m) to be raised to NOK405m (£29m).
The adjustment would mean that the turnover limit is adjusted in line with the changes to the consumer price index (CPI).
Culture and Equality Minister Lubna Jaffery said: “These lotteries will still only constitute a supplement to the games offered by the sole operators Norsk Tipping and Norsk Rikstoto.
“By adjusting the turnover limit, we make it possible for them to have some growth, while ensuring that the private lottery market still has a limited scope. And with annual adjustments in this way, we also ensure predictable framework conditions for the organizations behind these lotteries.”
A consultation supporting the proposal has been launched and closes on Friday, November 15.
The government is looking to adopt the changes this autumn so that they take effect before the end of the year.
