New York is on track to award at least one fully-fledged casino licence in New York City as part of this year’s budget, The New York Daily News quoted Senator Joe Addabbo.

Negotiators have agreed to add three casino licences into the budget, with two of those licences likely going to Genting Malaysia’s Resorts World at Aqueduct and MGM Resorts’ Empire City, he said.

Both of those locations offer slots and pari-mutuel wagering but could soon offer table games and poker as well. Negotiators have yet to decide on a specific location for the third licence, which would be located in the Hudson Valley or Suffolk or Nassau Counties, Addabbo said.
