Missouri is set to be the next US state to open up to regulated online sports betting, with an amendment expected to be approved.

As reported by the Missouri Independent, the ballot for Amendment 2 could come down to around 14,000 votes.
FanDuel and DraftKings had rolled out multi-million-dollar campaigns to support the expansion of mobile wagering into the Show-Me State.
They are set to succeed where Caesars Entertainment has seemingly failed, after the company’s short-lived campaign against the move.
Amendment 2 would allow Missouri’s six professional sports teams to operate a retail sportsbook near their stadiums as well as an online platform.
The six casino companies in Missouri would also be able to offer retail and online betting, with two licences not linked to sports teams or casinos up for grabs.
The proposed sports betting tax rate is 10 per cent.
The Missouri Independent added that the first bets could be placed in Missouri as early as December 5, although it is likely to be into 2025 at the least before that happens.
