Bacta’s new president, Joseph Cullis, was in Hastings last week to join the UK Gambling Minister, Baroness Twycross, on a visit to two local arcades, accompanied by Hastings MP Helena Dollimore.

They visited The Deluxe, owned by vice president Jeremy Godden, on the resort’s seafront and then Flamingo Amusements.
The politicians were given an outline of the importance of gaming machines and amusement machines to the venues and the role that they play in the local communities.
In particular Cullis and his team emphasised the need for a review of stakes and prizes.
Said Cullis: “One thing that was clear from discussions with the minister is that self exclusion is most certainly on her radar after the recent BBC coverage.
"It is imperative that all members follow the necessary steps on self exclusion to ensure the highest possible levels of compliance.“
