The buyout of the MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay real estate on the Las Vegas Strip by real estate group VICI Properties has been completed.

The deal, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal, means that VICI now owns huge swathes of the land on the Strip.
VICI already owned just over 50 per cent of the two big casinos and now it has scooped the remainder from venture capital giant Blackstone. Both properties are leased to MGM Resorts.
