With an upturn in the land-based casino market and - in the US - expansion in the tribal gaming market, Merkur Gaming went to G2E with high expectations and the company was not disappointed.
The new 4K large screen cabinet, the Allegro, with a 43ins curved Ultra HD monitor, made its debut, with the new Gforce multigame platform. The newest games were presented on the Allegro cabinet, with Secret Area 150, Asian Tower and Neon Panther among the 120 games shown on the Merkur stand.
Some of them were created by the group’s design teams in other parts of the world, including Reel Time Gaming from Australia, Lucky Nugget Gaming from India and Stella from Germany.
Some new gaming and entertainment concepts were launched, including the four-title Egyptian-themed games and some high-powered effects such as the Crash Stacks with different values crashing to reveal big prizes. Big Deal Wheel was a big hit - a sevens and bars game with an extra Big Deal Wheel to give a game show feeling.
Charles Hiten, CEO of Merkur Gaming Americas, said: “It was our best G2E ever. This was thanks to a new product range and dedicated work by our entire team over the three days. We have taken Merkur to a new and higher level and we must now capitalise on that.”
