Tech Treffen, a casino operators’ conference circulating Peru, Mexico and Colombia, has come to an end for 2016 with an “average attendance of 50 senior technicians at each venue.”
The concept was devised in 2013 by Merkur Gaming Peru’s technical manager, Luis Asmat, as a means of communicating more effectively with the casino workforce. Merkur Gaming is the international sales and development brand of Gauselmann, based in Lübbecke, Germany.
Tomas Mieles, sales director for Merkur Gaming Americas, wrapped up the tour, saying: “Taking Tech Treffen on tour and thus being able to capitalise on the experiences gained over the past three years in Peru has proved to be a fantastic success.
“Each country of course has its own technical requirements and our local experts addressed these in detail within the framework of an already proven overall agenda. In Mexico, for example, we believe that this was the first such event ever presented in that country and its value was clearly seen.
“Our tour will certainly be on the road again in 2017 and, with Merkur Gaming being active in Argentina, we can already see that it will be extended to cover all four of the key countries in Latin American gaming operations. I would particularly like to thank all of our staff involved in the preparation and running of our tour 2016 and also congratulate the delegates that made the three events come alive through their participation and lively interactions during the sessions.”
