Pollock led the property, based in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, for 18 years and is now retiring.

Oud has been involved with the Dutch gambling sector for 25 years, beginning her career as a croupier at Holland Casino. As her career progressed, she took positions at Fair Play Casino and the Netherlands Railways before managing the Eindhoven branch of Holland Casino.

"We would like to thank Mr. Pollok for the extraordinarily successful years we have spent together. At the same time, we are delighted to have found an excellent successor for our Bad Oeynhausen casino in Ms. Oud," said David Schnabel, member of the Merkur Group's board of directors for casinos.

"Thanks to her decades of service at Holland Casino, Jaqueline Oud benefits from a wealth of experience within the gaming industry. Her extensive expertise and passion for casino operations will bring not only continuity but also fresh ideas."

Oud said: "The opportunity to manage the Merkur Casino Bad Oeynhausen appealed to me and excited me from the very beginning. The Merkur Group has an excellent reputation and is also very well known in the Netherlands.

"My discussions with management gave me not only the confidence, but also the certainty that I was being given a unique opportunity to make a difference."
