October’s figure represented a 31.7 per cent increase on the amount recorded in October last year. For the first 10 months of the year, Macau generated MOP297.1bn in gaming revenue, up 18.4 per cent on this stage in 2012.

Last month’s revenues beat the previous monthly record of MOP31.3bn set in March.

Having nearly equalled the amount generated in the whole of last year already, Macau continues to outpace every other casino market in the world.
