Gross gaming revenue for the Macau casino sector was US$2.4bn in February, down 0.1 per cent year on year.
Despite the drop, the figures, released by Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau, represent the lowest year-on-year decline in 20 months.
Average daily revenue for the month was $84m, up 12 per cent from January’s $75.2m.
Union Gaming analysts said the February results were a positive sign, noting strong mass market performance during the Chinese New Year period.
