The Las Vegas Hilton hotel and casino has officially changed its name after its licence with the hotel chain expired.

Hilton Hilton

Having been a Hilton hotel since 1971, the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, as it is now to be known, has been attempting to restructure its organisation and debts following a default on a loan in 2010.

It is to continue operating under a new motto: Same fame. New Name.

The property’s hotel and casino businesses have recently been divided between majority owner Colony Capital, which holds the gaming licence, and Ronald Johnson, who was appointed receiver by lenders.

Now, it seems likely that Johnson, who was recently granted a gaming licence by the Nevada Gaming Commission, will take charge of the whole business, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
