After years of planning and 16 months of construction, Jumer's US$150m casino and hotel complex has opened in Rock Island, Illinois, US.
Located about three miles from the former Casino Rock Island riverboat, the 42,500sq.ft casino, hotel and multi-use space will create 700 full-time jobs.
The complex has four restaurants, a nightclub and a five-story hotel, and the casino features 24 table games, six live poker tables and of its 1,100 slot machines, almost half are new.
Jumer’s vice president of sales and marketing, Bill Renk, said: "It’s been a very long and arduous road to get to this point."
