IGT has joined the Science Based Targets Initiative, an organisation that is driving climate action among businesses worldwide.
The commitment means that IGT has pledged to set targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to low-carbon emissions and furthering the IGT environmental, social and governance impact.
It is joining more than 2,000 companies globally committed to the SBTI in reducing their emissions.
Said Wendy Montgomery, senior vice president of marketing: “Making a formal commitment to setting science-based targtes advances our established sustainability programme and underscores our focus on ESG activities.”
