The partnership between IGT and William Hill has succeeded in winning the right to provide sports betting services to the Rhode Island Lottery, it was announced last week.
The deal covers the state’s licensed video lottery and table game venues, Twin River Casino and Tiverton Casino.
The sports betting operations are expected to go live by the middle of November in a contract set to last five years from the moment the first sports bet is laid and there are provisions to extend the arrangement by mutual consent for two more successive five-year spans.
Rhode island is the first lottery to set up sports betting operations following the PASPA decision.
