Following successful trials of its intelligent electronic table drop box, i-depsys, at Crown Melbourne in Australia, Intelligent Deposit Systems has received a preliminary order.
Crown Melbourne has appointed IDS as its exclusive supplier of table game electronic drop box technology for the next two years. IDS CEO Andrew Beddoe said: “We have been working with Crown for 12 months on the introduction of the i-depsys product into their property.
“This announcement comes following a great deal of hard work from both our businesses and successful live trials of i-depsys in the Melbourne casino. We are delighted to be working with such a forward thinking professional team as Crown Melbourne.
“The plan is to roll out additional units with Crown following the successful implementation of the first order and progress from there. IDS has been working hard to introduce i-depsys to overseas markets and the Crown deal and their commitment to IDS reflects this effort.’
Crown Melbourne’s general manager of table games strategy and commercial, Tim Barnett, said: “Crown has been impressed by the desire and diligence of the IDS team to deliver a product that will improve Crown’s ability to provide a better customer experience by reducing time lost due to large buy-ins at the baccarat tables.”
IDS is progressing with similar opportunities in Asia, Europe and North America following additional UK orders earlier this year.
