Gaming Partners International (GPI), the diversified casino products manufacturer, finished 2006 with much fanfare after receiving several major orders for its ranges of chips and plaques.

Amongst the new orders, and in addition to the huge order of 956,000 B&G chips delivered to Holland Casino late last year, GPI was also selected by Spielbank Hamburg from Germany to supply the new Casino Esplanade with its new generation of S2 gaming chips along with traditional plaques and jetons.

Across the Atlantic, Panama’s biggest casino operator, Alta Cordillera, favoured GPI for the supply of its latest Crown Casino with 139,000 chips from the Bud Jones brand, some of them fitted with the 125KHz Hitag Vegas-S microchip to enhance the security of the highest denominations.

This followed the successful deployment earlier in the year of GPI’s 125KHz RFID technology in several locations, including the new G Casino in Manchester, UK; Casino de Cartagena, Spain; Caesar’s Palace, South Africa; and Galaxy’s City Clubs in Macau.

“ICE 2007 will again be a major event for GPI,” commented international sales and marketing manager Christophe Leparoux. “We will be displaying a very innovative new collection of plaques, an exclusive electronic chip surveillance system based on RFID technology, a RFID-automated poker table, in addition to an expanded RFID applications demonstration pit.”
