A few weeks after the remodeling of the Merkur Casino in Cerny Most, one of the biggest and most modern shopping centres in Prague, Czech Republic, there was a glamorous reopening attended by over 500 guests from politics, culture, sports and entertainment.
The venue was given a totally new look and the gaming floor was expanded from 600sq.m to almost 1,000sq.m. The casino is Merkur’s largest location in a European country outside Germany, as well as being the biggest electronic casino in the Czech Republic.
There are almost 150 gaming seats and the new design takes account of the diverse requirements of players. There is a VIP area and a relaxation zone and this is the first Merkur Casino to feature a special event zone.This stage area will offer live performances; in addition to regular shows by talented young bands, there will also be song contests.
There are now 22 Merkur Casinos in the Czech Republic, seven of them in Prague. Merkur Casino is a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group of Germany.
