Four Swedish bookmakers have been fined and warned for betting on matches with under-age players, it was revealed by the Spelinspektionen, the country’s regulator.
The under-18s ban led to an SEK6m fine for Come On Sweden, SEK4.5m for Hajper, SEK100,000 for Legolas Invest and SEK9.5m for Faster.
Swedish gaming companies have taken a number of measures to safeguard under-age players, but Spelinspektionen felt that the four fined companies had not done enough. It recently took similar action against eight other companies.
