The operator of the Live! Casino and Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US, has been hit with a US$50,000 fine for allowing four self-excluded individuals to gamble in the casino.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) finalised the fine against Stadium Casino, which is an affiliate of Cordish Companies, in a public meeting earlier this week.
Elsewhere, the state regulator has placed five people on the iGaming Involuntary Exclusion List upon recommendation by its Office of Enforcement Counsel.
One individual used a “fraudulent scheme” to obtain an igaming account in another person’s name and identifiers, the PGCB said.
The same individual “used fraud’ to deposit funds into that account and, without playing any online casino games, managed to have funds withdrawn from the account into their personal bank account.
“An individual created 16 separate online accounts using the personal identification and credit cards of other individuals and withdrew $11,250 into his own personal bank account,” the regulator added.
In other matters, the PGCB has renewed the casino licence for Wind Creek Bethlehem.
The five-year extension allows the Wind Creek Bethlehem casino in Northampton County to continue operating.
