The eastern European gaming industry is leading the way when it comes to new ideas and liberalisation, according to Matjaz Petek, marketing and sales manager at Slovenian games manufacturer Alfastreet.
Speaking at Gaming Expo Belgrade earlier this week, Petek said that eastern Europe continues to be a key market for the company.
Unlike the "protectionist" markets in western Europe, the eastern European markets continue to offer new opportunities for gaming companies, he said.
The region is now "making trends" and offering "lots of fresh ideas," he added.
