Crown Resorts has cleared CEO Ciaran Carruthers of any law breaches, following an internal probe by the company linked to a complaint.

Back in December, The Australian Financial Review reported that Carruthers was under investigation over claims linked to Crown Melbourne, in which the executive allegedly intervened to reinstate a patron who had been removed and handed a one-year ban for bringing a minor into the gaming area.

The publication now notes that Crown’s internal review found “no regulations or laws were breached.”

But the group’s Chairman, Bill McBeath also noted that the board started a review of the company’s security policies “to ensure clearer lines of authority and accountability over operational decision-making.”

Carruthers was cleared after the Blackstone-run company hired two law firms to conduct the investigation.
