The ground-breaking ceremony for the Hotel Croc's Casino Resort in Garabito de Puntarenas, Costa Rica, will take place next week.
After a series of delays caused by the economic crisis in 2009, Dag Hascall, CEO of the US firm Hascall Steel Company, announced the investment of US$48m in a 26,000sq.m construction project, including 152 rooms and 44 condominiums.
The complex will be located on a three-hectare site and will create 300 direct jobs. The opening date is planned for December 2014. Croc's Casino Resort will have a 929sq.m casino, two restaurants, three bars, a disco, a spa, a veterinary clinic, a kids club and 60m of beach, as well as a 400-seat convention centre.
