Cosmopolitan casino in Las Vegas showed a profit of over $15.3m in its second quarter, after a net loss in the same period of last year.

The hotel and casino, which was bought last year by an affiliate of the New York-based Blackstone Group, has reported for the quarter ended June 30.

Net revenue was $199.5m, a decline of just under one per cent, but income reversed the $13.6m loss of the same quarter of last year. Casino revenue was up more than $11m but there were declines in the revenue from its restaurants and entertainment.
