Chile's Casino Superintendence (SCJ) has authorised the implementation of the Server Supported Game System - SSGS - enabling the country's 15 casinos to download games to slot machines directly from a central server.
All downloadable games stored in the central server must have been through the homologation process and comply with the SCJ’s regulations. The server, meanwhile, must be located on site within each casino choosing to implement the technology and slot terminals connected to the central server must pay out no less than 85 per cent.
In October, Chile’s casinos generated gaming income of $38.91m compared with $34.87m during the previous month. This SCJ attributed this to an 8.91 per cent increase in visitors.
