There will be a reorganised layout for the second Juegos Miami trade show, set to take place in Florida on May 31-June 2 next year.

Changes for Juegos Miami

Joint organisers Clarion Events and Urban Expositions have confirmed that the show will once again be held at the Miami Biltmore Hotel, following the highly successful inaugural 2016 event.

Clarion’s gaming division managing director, Kate Chambers, told InterGaming this week that the focus will once again be on the essential ingredient of networking and, to facilitate this, some changes are being made.

“Each part of the show will get an equal chance to engage with the attendees,” said Chambers. “We will ensure this by putting some of the networking in the exhibition hall and reorganising the use of the hotel to locate the show and the food breaks in adjoining areas, so that exhibitors see more traffic and are nearer the areas we will use for the social events as well as giving the seminars more space - they were oversubscribed in 2016.”

The event, which is targeting the pan-Latin American and Caribbean industry, set itself out this year as a four-way split between exhibition, seminars, networking and social sessions, a formula the organisers feel worked well and will continue to provide the foundation of the 2017 show.

Chambers reported that Juegos Miami had received considerable support from stakeholders in the region and that there had been very positive feedback from both exhibitors and attendees.

“Launches are the hardest things to execute in the events business and certainly the first edition of Juegos Miami was very well received by everyone,” she said.

“We have learned a lot from that first edition and we are putting those lessons and experience to good use in 2017.”
