Casinos Austria has announced structural changes intended to aid the company's international expansion plans.

At a meeting of the supervisory boards of Casinos Austria and Casinos Austria International in December, the group approved plans for further expansion and reorganisation at board level.

Josef Leutgeb has stepped down from his role as financial director of Casinos Austria to focus on the group’s international business, while Paul Herzfeld is to step down as deputy director general in 2010 to also concentrate on the company’s international operations.

Karl Stoss and Dietmar Hoscher, meanwhile, stepped down from their respective roles as chairman and director of CAI to concentrate on activities at Casinos Austria. Bettina Glatz-Kremsner was also named financial director at Casinos Austria.

Karl Stoss, director general of Casinos Austria and chairman of the board of Austrian Lotteries, said after the meeting: "I am really delighted we have such a competent management duo as Paul Herzfeld and Josef Leutgeb heading up our international business activities, and Bettina Glatz-Kremsner will now handle finance for the whole group. These are two important steps towards a lean and efficient management structure."
