Vietnam has approved a casino on Phu Quoc island and is now looking for a developer at Bai Dai Beach.
Under the development plan, which extends to 2033, the surrounding area will host tourist and entertainment attractions, including hotels, water parks and golf courses.
The site was moved from another location in Phu Quoc to make it more attractive to investors.
It is now expected that no new casino licences will be handed out until the government issues its draft decree, which could potentially ease gaming laws to allow locals to gamble.
