Players in the US state of Indiana can now access cashless wagering on slots at the Blue Chip Casino Resort.
Sightline Payments, the cashless payments and betting solutions supplier, has partnered with Boyd Gaming and Aristocrat to provide the facility at the Blue Chip, which is in Michigan City, Indiana.
It provides a new digital cashless ecosystem. Players can load funds electronically and use the resources to play directly on their favoured slots. Funds left can be transferred back to the digital wallet or used on another game. It is also planned to expand the solution to the table games, restaurants and other amenities at the venue.
The American Gaming Association recently conducted research that showed that consumers preferred digital payments as a result of the pandemic. A majority, 59 per cent, of past-year visitors were now less likely to use cash and 57 per cent regarded a cashless option as important.
