Genting's Resorts World Sentosa, which is scheduled to open in the first half of next year, will change the "tourism blueprint" for Asia, it has been claimed.
The company’s Robin Goh said that Resorts World represents a new and unique type of tourism destination for the region.
"It is a model that is unprecedented in this part of the world and we believe it to be the next model that other countries or regions may start adopting," he told InterGaming. "With this, we believe that it will change the tourism blueprint for Singapore and south-east Asia. Resorts World Sentosa will create 10,000 jobs and 35,000 indirect jobs. Local and overseas staff will benefit in education and training, with the emergence of new skills and a brand new mindset in hospitality.
"In terms of gaming, there is no other destination like Resorts World Sentosa in Asia - one with such a slew of offerings that families would require at least five days to complete experiencing."
