The Australasian Gaming Expo is on track for a return from August 10-12 and could end up as the largest gaming exhibition in the world this year.

AGE

Chief executive Chris Muir told InterGaming today that everything was on track for the event, to be held in the International Convention Centre in Sydney.

With no ICE this year and G2E likely to be much reduced through potential international travel reductions, AGE could become the world’s premier event in terms of size in 2021.

“We are on schedule,” said Muir. “Our visitors from New Zealand will be there as Australia has a ‘travel bubble’ with our neighbours. We have all four halls that we usually have. Exhibitor numbers are on a par with what we would normally expect at this stage, eight weeks out from the show.

“Our 10 biggest exhibitors are members of the Gaming Technologies Association, so they will be out in force. We will miss our international exhibitors, of course, who have to bring in people from overseas or need staff from outside of Australia.”
