Hard Rock International has confirmed that its Rockford casino in Illinois, US, will open on August 29.

Doors to the permanent facility, which will house over 175,000sq.ft of gaming, entertainment and hospitality space, will open at approximately 3pm.
The casino will offer nearly 1,300 slot machines and 50 live table games including a poker room.
A sportsbook will also be available to bettors alongside six restaurants and a Rock Shop offering Hard Rock merchandise.
“The economic impact of this casino will provide hundreds of new jobs and boost the entertainment options for anyone living near or visiting Rockford,” said chief operating officer Jon Lucas.
“We are thrilled to welcome this new property to our global portfolio of over 300 Hard Rock venues."
Hard Rock said it plans to hire more than 400 new staff to support the new casino.
Elsewhere, Hard Rock has insisted there has been “no delay” in its plans to open a permanent facility at the Bristol Casino in Virginia, US.
The company said that instead of opening key amenities as they become ready, it will host a “Grand Opening” event “with all elements of the project including Hard Rock Live, an array of diverse dining options and our signature Hard Rock Hotel all at once.”
“We understand the significance of first impressions and are committed to making a spectacular entrance into the Bristol community,” Hard Rock said.
“We appreciate the community's enthusiasm and patience as we finalise preparations for what promises to be a landmark opening later this year.”
