Astro Corp, the Taiwan based operator and manufacturer of gaming PCBs and video slot machines, has been awarded membership of the prestigious Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM).

Commenting on the AGEM’s Board of Directors unanimous vote, Astro Corp’s CEO International Simon Herbert said he was “delighted” at joining the Association.

“Astro Corp very much shares AGEM’s core values and we admire the work that AGEM has carried out to assist suppliers around the world” he added.

When asked why joining AGEM is so important to Astro Corp, Mr Herbert explained: “Astro Corp has a policy of assisting regulatory commissions and participating in the legislative process wherever possible and this is very much in line with AGEM’s thinking.

“We also believe in the promotion of responsible corporate citizenship from within the industry. AGEM’s membership reads like a Who’s Who of the world’s top gaming manufacturers and we look forward to sharing views with other members and playing an active role”.

With its headquarters in Las Vegas, AGEM is an international trade association representing the interests of manufacturers of electronic gaming devices, systems, table games, key components and support products and services for the gaming industry.

Marcus Prater, Executive Director of AGEM stated: “AGEM is very pleased to add Astro Corp to its membership roster. Our organisation seeks out companies that are on the rise and can bring a fresh perspective to the supplier side of the industry.

“Astro Corp is a perfect example of that and we look forward to its involvement as AGEM continues to grow globally.”

In 2004, Astro Corp successfully became the first gaming company to publicly trade on Taisdaq.  Astro Corp’s products, characterised by their original game concepts, special effects and stunning 3D graphics have rapidly earned a reputation for reliability and earning potential.

Through a series of strategic partnerships, Astro Corp has quickly expanded into important new markets such as Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.
