Ainsworth Game Technology was exhibiting at last week's South-East European Gaming Expo in Belgrade, Serbia, for the first time.

"We are still a relatively new arrival in the European market," said Barry Marchini, who heads up the Australian company’s UK-based subsidiary. "We have taken over responsibility for Europe from Australia and this is one of the shows that we feel could be important for us."

AGT is already selling games into Serbia. "We already have some good casino customers here," Marchini continued, "although the street market is still very low key. Overall in Europe, things have gone very well since we set up in the UK. The UK itself is disappointing, of course, but the rest of the markets are buoyant.

"We had a very good show at ICE in January and we are being supported very well by Australia in terms of new products and ideas." Both the company’s multigame products and single games are doing well in the European markets.
