American Gaming Systems, a designer, manufacturer and operator of gaming machines with more than 7,500 installed units, is entering the lucrative Nevada gaming market.

On April 19, it was granted a licence to manufacture and distribute gaming devices in the state of Nevada, as well as a licence to operate a slot machine route.

“AGS took another major step forward today,” said Bob Miodunski, AGS’ president and CEO. “Nevada is clearly a state that has tremendous opportunities for AGS and we are extremely excited to introduce our Roadrunner platform on the world’s biggest stage in the gaming industry.

“AGS continues to be one of the fastest growing companies in the gaming manufacturing world and today’s granting of a Nevada licence is a tremendous accomplishment for our team.”

Upon receiving all the appropriate regulatory approvals, AGS’ gaming devices will be powered by its new Roadrunner platform. With its proprietary 3D graphics engine that features an accelerated video frame refresh rate, Roadrunner produces crystal-clear graphics and superior game-play features for all players, the company states.

In addition to introducing new content in the video game segment, AGS will also launch its new Top Box feature games. Nevada is known for its significant video poker presence and AGS said it was thrilled to introduce Pay It Again Poker, a game “destined to appeal to players of all skill levels.”
