Italian casino equipment manufacturer Abbiati will be attending the London show for the 15th time this month.

“The show launches the year for us and a successful show consolidates the remainder of the year,” said managing director Giorgio Abbiati. “2009 will be very important due to the economic climate and the fact that some of the new projects and capital budgets have already been cut.”

He went on to say that Abbiati has spent the last few years diversifying and increasing its product portfolio to ensure that it can offer customers a full turnkey solution that includes the latest technology available.

Abbiati will be showing some new table designs and materials being used in the manufacturing process. Other products will include the full range of Abbiati roulette wheels with laser technology or overhead readers for identifying the winning number and sending this information to a multimedia display or automated roulette terminals.

Abbiati will show a new multimedia display that is different in size and configuration to those in the market at the moment. “We offer different packages to suit the end user with regard to media content, live feeds, TV, with an online solution that can link to most existing media software packages that are presently being used in casinos,” said Abbiati.

The company’s 13.56MHz PJM RFID value chip and plaque products will be demonstrated on at least two fully functional tables, with all chip and plaque movements and transactions being shown in real time. The system has the ability to read and identify 800 chips per second.

Abbiati will also exhibit a jointly developed project by Abbiati and PGIC for Texas poker tables that is now completed and was developed in response to increasing customer demand for a 13.56MHz PJM enabled RFID poker tables and allows for full auditing and verification of RFID enabled chips and pot totals. The simple touchscreen interface provides the ability to set and calculate any pot percentage quickly and accurately during the game.
