Once again this year, G2E Las Vegas proved a popular platform for the industry’s leading manufacturers to launch a raft of new product, particularly licensed slot themes.

Kiss Kiss

Nearly all the major slot companies unveiled new branded titles on the opening day of the show. Bally Technologies presented a new NASCAR game that allows players to drive a racing car around a track during a bonus feature, SHFL Entertainment demonstrated a new title inspired by The Flintstones and IGT invited visitors to piece clues together to solve crimes on a new game based on the CSI TV shows.

Aristocrat, meanwhile, brought its Superman game to the show and Spielo International unveiled a series of titles based on PopCap’s video games, such as Plants vs. Zombies.

One of the biggest draws on the opening day of the show was on the WMS booth, however, where Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of the rock band KISS were on hand to meet fans and launch a slot game based on their musical exploits.
