Although last week’s G2E Asia seemed to get off to a slow start, Interblock’s vice president of sales, Tom O’Brien, said that mid-way through the first day “it turned up a notch.”

Interblock was showing a range of its G4 Organic product at the event, including its Organic Virtual 07 with Virtual Baccarat, Organic Dice 08 featuring sic bo and craps and its Organic Twins 12 in football shape with roulette. Instantly recognisable with their distinctive red and black design, Interblock’s G4 Organic range is proving popular around the world.

O’Brien (pictured) explained that the company already has a strong presence in the Macau market. “We control quite a bit of the market but we recognise that there is growing competition and the need to bring new product to the marketplace,” he said. Along with its baccarat product, Interblock demonstrated its Lucky 9s side bet designed to add excitement to what is already a popular game in the Asian region.

“Asia is a great market for electronic table games,” said O’Brien. “A few years ago there would have only been a handful of electronic table games on display at the show but now there are dozens. Competition is very strong here and everyone is looking for a niche – that key ingredient or key element that makes a game special.”

With its G4 product range, he added, Interblock believes its games offer just that.

As Asia is already the largest market in the world, the potential for future growth is enormous, particularly when it comes to electronic table games.

O’Brien said: “Macau and Singapore are already huge markets, let alone the others. Imagine what will happen in the next two years. Electronic table games growth will continue and could represent 10-20 per cent of the gaming floor.”
